How does your Couch to 5K program work?
Our Couch to 5K program will be hosted by HealthQuest. It will be an 8 week program and will include 4 group runs and cross-training opportunities every week. Each group run will accommodate various paces, and each run will feature a different route. Participants will also receive weekly motivational emails with weekly workout plans, nutritional advice and helpful hints.

Where will “Scare Away Hunger be held?
The Run/Walk check-in will take place at Rochester College and will include views of Rochester College, Lake Norcentra Park and the Clinton River Trail. Rochester College is located at 800 W. Avon Road Rochester Hills, MI 48307.

Is parking available on-site?
Yes, there is ample parking available at Rochester College.

When is the start time?
5k Run/Walk begins at 3:00 pm sharp.

What time is race check in?
Check-in for the Run/Walk begins at 2:00 pm

Can kids run or walk?
Absolutely! “Scare Away Hunger” is a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk.  Children under 14 year of age must be accompanied by an adult.  Parents with infants and toddlers are welcome to push their child in a jogging stroller.

What is the Family Fun Autumn Event?
Autumn fun – where all are welcome!  Including children’s games, face painting, arts and crafts, performances by RARA Dance Studio’s Select Performance Team and the Stoney Creek High School Drumline, and more!

Is there a fee for the Family Fun Autumn Event?
Race registration includes kids’ activities. For those not participating in the Run/Walk, a nominal donation or non-perishable food donation (5 items/child) will also be accepted for the Food Pantry.

What time is the family fun event?
Family fun activities will be from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

5k Run/Walk pre-registration fee:
Students: $20
Individuals, $25
Family or Corporate Team, $20 / person

Register early!  Fees increase by $5 per person after October 11.

What are proceeds benefiting?
Proceeds will benefit the Neighborhood House which provides food, clothing and emergency financial assistance to neighbors in need from Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township and Addison Township. Neighborhood House is a nonprofit organization and has been in existence for 50 years.  Visit our website at www.ranh.org for more information.

Neighborhood House serves residents in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township and Addison Township and is proud to report that 91 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to help neighbors in need.
